Safety Seal lancets, manufactured by Specialty Medical, are sterile, disposable devices used to obtain a capillary blood sample. Safety Seal lancets are for use with most lancing devices.

- Wash hands with soap and water or wipe fingertip with an alcohol prep pad. Dry thoroughly.
- Select fingertip site, slightly off-center.
- Remove lancet cover.
- Insert lancet into lancing device. Use to puncture skin.
- Apply drop of blood to test strip, and wipe excess from finger.
- Re-cap lancet and remove from lancing device.
- Dispose of lancet in an appropriate container.
WARNING:
- Needle is sterile if cap is unopened and undamaged.
- Do not use lancets if protective cap has been previously removed.
- Do not reuse your lancets
- Do not store your lancets in lancing device.
- Do not share your lancets.
