We LOVE the tickleflex we have. We will be ordering more.
It has eliminated bruising for our 4 year old little guy. He he is very active and is hard to keep still, he is scared of his needles but this greatly reduces his anxiety. I highly recommend this product.

I rarely do reviews, but since no one has reviewed this product, I wanted to tell other diabetics about my experience.
After 20+ years on a pump, I had to go back to syringes because of set irritation causing high glucose levels. I’ve had T1D for 41 years and have never been able to inject a needle without some type of injection aide. I have always used an auto-injector. And after being on a pump, having to use a syringe and vial in the middle of the night is such a pain. So I really wanted to switch to reusable pens. This being my first time using them, I searched for weeks trying to find an auto-injector for a reusable or even disposable pen. They call some pens auto, but they do not insert the needle.
This action of inserting is a dread to me. Unfortunately, there are zero items like this available to a diabetic. Especially in the US. So it was stick with syringes or be brave and try something new.
I found this Tickleflex in my searches as the ONLY pen needle aide available. So I ordered it, truly believing I would not be able to do it. I also bought the Flextend insulin pen holder to go with it. Also couldn’t imagine this making a difference.
I was wrong. These 2 incredibly simple items are just enough to make it possible to inject. Actually, once you’ve used them a few times, it’s made it somewhat easy.
I’ll just talk about the Tickleflex here and do another review for the Flextend on that product page.
This Tickleflex has really flexible silicone fingers. Very lightweight. I had worried that it would make it hard to apply enough pressure to insert the new 4mm tiny needles I had switched to. I had always used 8mm. But it isn’t a problem. And the base of the Tickleflex is a flat, hard and clear plastic that allows you to put a lot of pressure while inserting and still never go deeper than that flat base. And finally, the biggest part for me, once you slide it over the needle base (with the inner cover still on the needle) and remove the needle cover, it disguises seeing the needle. I don’t know why that makes such a difference, but it does. I am grateful to the man who created this product and the Flextend. Together they work great. I will be purchasing another of both products for my second pen and as backups. Thank you Diabetic Outlet for being one of the only places to purchase this in the US.
