We have recently added Unistrip1 glucose test strips to our store. UniStrip1 blood glucose test strips offers an inexpensive alternative to the expensive OneTouch Ultra Blue test strips. UniStrip1 has been approved for use with OneTouch Ultra Meters making UniStrip1 test strips a generic alternative to OneTouch test strips for pay-out-of-the-pocket customers.
Why Use Generic UniStrip1 instead of OneTouch Ultra?
Over the past decade, OneTouch (and most manufacturers of brand name glucose monitoring systems) has made several improvements to their blood glucose monitoring systems. As a result, glucose monitoring systems can now perform better, and therefore, deliver more accurate results. Though the improved OneTouch glucose monitoring systems provide better glucose testing experience, the high cost of OneTouch products, especially the test strips, continues to be a major concern for most users. With UniStrip1, proven to work with OneTouch system, customers now have a choice to buy the inexpensive generic alternative and yet get the high quality of the OneTouch system.
UniStrip1 Is FDA APPROVED!
After conducting extensive clinical trials in late 2013, FDA approved UniStrip1 blood glucose test strips for use with the OneTouch Ultra, OneTouch Ultra2, OneTouch UltraSmart, and OneTouch UltraMini meters. This allows cash patients to save money on their glucose test strips and yet use the reliable OneTouch glucose monitoring system. Furthermore, the UniStrip1 test strips have been assessed for accuracy and ease of use against the most recent ISO guidelines, and have successfully met the requirements for accuracy and precision.
Unistrip’s Performance Is Comparable to OneTouch
A study conducted by Neng-Chun Diabetes Clinical, Taiwan, ROC showed that the UniStrip1 used with OneTouch Ultra, Ultra2, UltraMini, and UltraSmart glucose meters delivers accurate results. Results were found to be closely comparable to the results obtained using the four OneTouch Ultra blood glucose monitoring systems.
Unistrip1 generic blood glucose test strips has several great feature, some of which are:
- The capillary action automatically draws the blood sample into the Unistrip1 test strip.
- Unistrip test strips are approved for alternate site testing.
- Unistrip’s glucose oxidase technology allows for safer and more accurate results.
Individuals with diabetes will continue to seek ways to overcome the high cost of managing their diabetes. Home monitoring of blood glucose levels using OneTouch system should not be so expensive. The Unistrip1 generic blood glucose test strips cleared by the FDA for use with OneTouch meters, serves as an inexpensive alternative. Lower cost should not be interpreted as lower quality. Unistrip1 generic test strips, one-third of the price of OneTouch, perform as high as the OneTouch system when applied as intended.
